Buddy Weaver began calling in his native state of Hawaii in 1977.  He is a third generation caller who lives with his family in North San Diego County where he is a pool contractor.

An accredited member of Callerlab since 1981, Vice-Chairman of the Music Producers Committee, and an experienced coach of callers, Buddy conducts seminars in the United States, Japan, and Europe on many square dance calling subjects.  

Invited to join the square dance recording industry in 1981, his first record was "New York, New York" for D&R Record Company.  Over the years, he has provided vocals for over 300 square dance recordings.  Buddy Weaver is producer of the Blue Star Music, the largest square dance music company in the world which includes Hi Hat Music, Dance Ranch CDs, and Bob Cat Music. 

Buddy's career highlights:

First American caller to teach and call post cold war Poland

First American caller brought to Tasmania, Australia AND Takagawa, Japan for a Square Dance Festival

Over a dozen calling appearances in Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Germany.

Called in twenty-eight United States

First record producer to create and market "Learn to Square Dance" on CD and MP3

Pioneered Multi-Cycle lessons and "New Square Dance" lessons in San Diego

Taught Caller Seminars in Europe, Japan, and United States.
